Heleket Review 2026: UK Sanctions, Fees and Merchant Risks
We don't recommend opening a new Heleket merchant account. The UK's 8 October 2026 designation lists Heleket and Cryptomus under Xeltox entry RUS3755. Existing customers should get legal and bank advice before moving funds. Heleket advertises fees from 0.4%, but we haven't verified its complete tariff, its current contracting company or any way to get paid into a bank. This review explains what the public payment tools do, what can stop access to your money, and how to compare eligible replacements without treating a low fee or a ranking score as clearance.

Informational entry. This model is not a recommendation to open a new merchant account. Check current availability directly with the provider.
We wouldn't start a new Heleket merchant relationship after the UK designation. If you already have funds there, get legal and bank advice before moving them. The public documentation helps you understand an account, but it doesn't show that access is lawful, what the full price is or that funds will be released.
- New onboarding under the current designation
- Anyone needing a verified way to get paid into a bank
- Businesses relying on anonymous accounts or guaranteed release
- Merchants with excluded country or owner connections
The overview uses the headline processing rate, before minimums, network fees, conversion margins and bank charges. You'd still need to be eligible for an account, and the rating mixes different kinds of users.
We read the original public sources listed below on 14 October 2026, including official UK notices, Heleket's policies, FAQs and payment documentation, WordPress.org and Trustpilot. We didn't open accounts, install modules or send payments, and the money examples are hypothetical. What the documents say Heleket can do, and what reviewers report, isn't measured performance.
Should you use Heleket after the UK designation?
We wouldn't open a new merchant account. The UK designated Xeltox Enterprises Ltd on 8 October 2026, under RUS3755, listing Certa Payments Ltd, Cryptomus and Heleket as name variations. The notice includes an asset freeze and other measures; its reasons describe Cryptomus ownership and activities continued through Heleket.[1]
This comes before the fee. You could spend money connecting the checkout and then find the relationship isn't acceptable, so show your bank and adviser the account documents before you treat Heleket as an option.
OFSI guidance covers activities within the UK, plus UK nationals and UK-established legal entities wherever they operate, and it includes cryptoassets. The notice's specific correspondent-banking and payment-processing restriction concerns UK credit or financial institutions.[3] It isn't a worldwide ban under every country's law.
A same-day correction notice concerns three other entries and leaves RUS3755 in place.[2] Read the underlying entry, not just the correction headline.
If you already have a balance, ask your bank and a qualified sanctions adviser to review the agreement, account and proposed action before any withdrawal, refund or transfer. Don't assume completing verification makes a movement lawful.
Save the agreement, invoices, balances, payment references and correspondence, and note which money is held and which is available for bills. We haven't found a lawful way to recover money from an individual account, and a second brand isn't an independent backup.
Our Cryptomus–Heleket comparison explains how they differ. This is general information, not legal advice.
Who owns Heleket, and is it licensed?
The official UK entry links the brands, but Heleket's own documents don't name the company you'd contract with. Its terms and privacy policy, dated 23 June 2026, refer to “the Platform”, not a registered company.[7] Who owes you the balance?
The licence table below is empty because we have no verified Heleket licence entry. That isn't a finding that Heleket is unlicensed for every activity everywhere, but a compliance policy isn't regulatory permission either.
Your account documents need to name the signing company, its registration and address, the permission it holds and where disputes go, so your adviser can match whoever holds your balance to the rights and obligations in your agreement. A team page is no help there, and Xeltox's Canadian address in the UK notice isn't evidence of where Heleket is headquartered now.
Canada's FINTRAC penalty notice names Xeltox operating as Cryptomus, not Heleket.[30] We don't carry that penalty or Cryptomus's historical registration claim over to Heleket. Earlier commercial analysis of operational links came before the official UK designation.
The Cryptomus review covers the Canadian case.
Which countries and businesses are excluded?
Heleket's exclusions reach beyond your company address. Its AML policy, dated 23 June 2026, lists 59 unique jurisdictions and applies the rule to citizenship, residence, registration, location, operations and substantial connections. The list includes the US, Russia, Japan, Bulgaria and Ukraine.[6]
Registering elsewhere doesn't pass all those tests. If your owners, team or activity connect to an excluded country, tell your adviser as well as giving your company address, so they can judge the whole business.
Industry wording is another filter. Illegal gambling is prohibited, but that isn't approval for lawful gambling. We haven't confirmed that lawful forex, adult or VPN merchants are accepted either. The VPN rule is about users evading restrictions, not a ban on every VPN business.
| Question | What we found |
|---|---|
| Can a US-connected merchant rely on overseas incorporation? | The policy also considers citizenship, residence, operations and substantial connections |
| Is licensed gambling approved? | We found no approval; the policy only prohibits illegal gambling |
| Are lawful forex, adult or VPN merchants accepted? | Not confirmed, so your business would need checking |
| Does a global marketing claim override the policy? | No. Marketing isn't account approval |
With any other provider, describe your products, customers, owners and operating countries accurately; our guide to high-risk payment options covers the questions to ask. Crypto doesn't remove licensing, verification, sanctions or bank obligations. This is general information, not legal advice.
Does Heleket require identity and company checks?
Yes, so don't build a business plan around anonymous access. The AML policy rejects anonymous or pseudonymous clients and unidentified owners, and covers checks on the company, its representatives, ownership and source of funds. The exact checklist and the approval decision depend on the account.
KYB is the company check. KYC concerns identity. A beneficial owner is the person who ultimately owns or controls a company, even through another business.
Heleket's automatic-check FAQ says AML verification can't be avoided. Another answer lists passports or ID cards, bank statements and tax returns among the documents it may ask for.[13] That isn't the full checklist for your account.
A customer can run into verification requests after sending a payment. You and your support staff then have to work out whether the order is awaiting payment, awaiting review or refundable, while the buyer wants to know why money has left their wallet and the order hasn't completed. A fast checkout can still lead to restricted access.
Which coins and networks does Heleket support?
The current FAQ names 17 assets, including GRAM, and lists nine networks apart from the assets. The assets are BTC, USDT, AVAX, BCH, DASH, DAI, DOGE, ETH, LTC, POL, SHIB, SOL, XMR, TRX, USDC, BNB and GRAM.[14]
The networks are Arbitrum One, Avalanche C-chain, BSC, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, TON and TRON. They aren't nine extra coins, or proof that each listed asset works on every chain.
A stablecoin such as USDT can exist on several networks, and the token and network have to match: USDT on one chain isn't automatically usable at an address issued for another.
The table marks the stablecoin network pairs as unclear.
| Asset | Networks |
|---|---|
| USDT | Not stated |
| USDC | Not stated |
| DAI | Not stated |
Heleket's payment-services API shows a sample response, which isn't a live account inventory. WordPress.org advertises USDT on TRC-20 and ERC-20, but that's a claim in the plugin description, not proof those pairs are enabled for you.
For a replacement, list the wallets your customers use and check which networks you'd send and receive on. You can save on processing fees and still lose orders if buyers have to change assets first.
How does a Heleket payment work?
Heleket's flow creates an invoice, follows its status and credits a hosted merchant balance. An API lets your shop's system talk to the gateway, but that doesn't mean receipts go straight to a wallet you control.
- 01
Order requested
An invoice has a reference, an amount and the assets and networks you allow.
- 02
Payment seen
Detection and the required network confirmations are two different states.
- 03
Order reconciled
The store checks the authenticated status and the amount paid.
- 04
Balance checked
A credited hosted balance can still face restrictions, and it still has to reach you.
Heleket's invoice reference allows a payment window from 300 to 43,200 seconds, with 3,600 seconds as the default: five minutes to twelve hours, normally one hour. It also allows 0–5% underpayment tolerance and credits the amount that arrives. At the highest tolerance, a $100 invoice can be marked paid after $95 arrives.[15]
That $5 gap has nothing to do with the processing fee, so don't let a paid label quietly turn into a $100 sales receipt in your accounts.
The status reference gives each of these its own status: processing, waiting for confirmations, underpayment, payment success, each refund stage and locked funds under AML.[17] Whoever maintains your shop has to read the status together with the amount received and any account restrictions.
A webhook delivers that update. Heleket describes source and signature checks, and the notification includes the paid value and the merchant value after commission.[18] Don't dispatch goods just because a customer lands on a success page.
How much does Heleket charge?
From 0.4% is the advertised floor, not a verified ordinary merchant offer. The homepage ties the price to the plan and volume, while the service-cost FAQ says each product has its own fees and terms.[4][8] We haven't verified a complete numeric tariff.
The payment-services API shows commission fields with 2% examples and a 1% LTC example, labelled as response examples. They aren't Heleket's default charge, a volume discount or an offer your shop can claim.[16]
If you're checking existing statements, compare the rate you agreed with the value credited, the conversion and later deductions to see whether an apparent saving survives.
Compare the processing portion
This calculator shows Heleket's headline 0.4%, which applies only if you're offered it, next to CoinGate Standard's 1% and BitPay's standard bands. It covers processing only, so minimums, network charges, conversion margins, and bank, account and refund costs are extra, and unknown isn't free. It isn't a recommendation to onboard with Heleket.
Heleket: Informational entry. This model is not a recommendation to open a new merchant account. Check current availability directly with the provider.
Heleket$40$40 0.40%Confirm rate
CoinGate$100$100 1.00%
BitPay$225$225 2.25%
Published rate estimates only. Provider minimums, network, conversion, bank and account charges may be extra.
At the default basket, Heleket's line is $40 if you're given the headline rate, CoinGate's is $100 and BitPay's is $225. BitPay's first standard band is 2% plus 25 cents below $500,000 monthly volume, and high-risk pricing is higher and unquoted.[35] A lower modelled subtotal can still be the dearer offer overall.
What would a $10,000 month cost?
The receipt below assumes 100 successful $100 orders and an already agreed 0.4% rate. It's a hypothetical, processing-only model, and the net figure isn't cash you can spend.
Do small orders change the percentage?
This curve repeats the processing-only model at $10,000 monthly volume, so it shows how a fixed charge weighs on smaller baskets.
Heleket: Informational entry. This model is not a recommendation to open a new merchant account. Check current availability directly with the provider.
Heleket's line stays flat because we couldn't find a numeric fixed charge. That's a limit of the illustration, not evidence that tiny payments have no extra costs. With BitPay's standard first band, a $20 order costs 65 cents in processing, or 3.25%, and a $100 order costs $2.25, or 2.25%.
Our fee calculator guide explains the model. Filter candidates by eligibility before comparing prices.
Which extra costs and settings matter?
Withdrawal, conversion and exception costs can eat into an apparent saving. Heleket's June terms list service, network, exchange, additional-risk, commercial personal-wallet, limit-related and other fees, and let Heleket change them without advance notice.[5] We couldn't find the amounts.
A spread can reduce the amount credited. Advertised stablecoin conversion can still carry a spread, and transfers afterwards may cost money.
The payout-services response example includes fixed fees next to zero-percent fields, including 1.70 USDT on TRON. It's not a current rate card or a promise of free withdrawals, so don't copy a sample amount into a supplier budget.[22]
Invoice options can also change the buyer's bill: the reference lets you pass a share of the payment commission to the payer and set per-coin discounts or surcharges. Neither setting prices every network or removes your other costs.
| Statement line | What to look at |
|---|---|
| Processing | Agreed percentage, fixed amount, minimum and asset conditions |
| Conversion | Amount credited, rate and any spread or commission |
| Payout | Total merchant debit, recipient amount, network and fee allocation |
| Refund | Returned value, charges, and what happens to the original fee |
| Account or exception | Risk, limits, commercial-wallet, closure or recovery charges |
On a hypothetical $100 order, a tolerated $5 shortfall is bigger than the 40-cent processing fee at the headline rate, so compare your deductions and shortages before calling an order profitable.
When can you use the money or receive bank settlement?
We haven't verified any way for merchants to get paid into a bank, or a universal arrival time. The withdrawal FAQ describes crypto-wallet withdrawals, and the payout API sends cryptocurrency to an address even when the amount is given in dollars.[9][21] Dollars on the request don't make it a bank transfer.
Heleket holds balances on its platform, which is a custodial relationship. Its terms permit restrictions during verification, and the requested-documents FAQ says wallet funds stay inaccessible until verification completes.[10]
The verification-time answer says it depends on how complete your documents are and on workload, with no deadline.[11] We don't assume that finishing verification guarantees release, or that an ordinary withdrawal setting overrides legal or account restrictions.
For an eligible replacement, ask about the bank currency, minimum amount, transfer schedule and expected bank credit one at a time. Approval to receive payments is no proof that the whole payout path works.
Can Heleket refund a customer or release a held balance?
There's a refund tool in the docs, but it gives no guarantee of access to held money. Heleket's refund reference includes an optional amount field, requires a completed payment and rejects amounts above the payment received. Commission may come out of the merchant balance or reduce the refund, and payout blocks can stop the request.[23]
So the docs show an amount option, but we haven't tested partial refunds and can't vouch for them in every situation. We couldn't verify refund timing, whether original processing fees come back, or recovery of unsupported transfers.
For an existing customer issue, write down the original invoice, the payment received, the amount owed, how fees were handled and whether the refund finished. If a charge reduces what the buyer gets back, that processor setting doesn't change what you owe for the sale.
The terms' §24.4 gives 30 calendar days for claim review, unless the Platform or law sets a different period.[5] That's a default review period, not a promised release or a filing deadline. Closing the account leaves earlier obligations in place. This is general information, not legal advice.
Does Heleket work with WooCommerce and other stores?
Heleket's documentation has tutorial headings for six CMS platforms (OpenCart, WHMCS, WooCommerce, XenForo, PrestaShop and Invision Community), and WooCommerce also has an original WordPress.org listing.[25] A tutorial can help you understand your installed integration, but it isn't proof of current compatibility.
WordPress.org shows version 1.3.5, WordPress 6.3 or higher, tested through 6.8.11, and PHP 7.4 or higher. It also warns that the plugin hasn't been tested with the latest three major WordPress releases.[26] This is the listing's own metadata, not our compatibility test or proof of abandonment.
The listing's Russia-access marketing conflicts with the current policy limits, and its easy-start wording doesn't remove later identity or company checks. It mentions fiat where supported but shows no way to get paid into a bank. An old plugin description shouldn't decide today's eligibility or payout plan.
Have whoever maintains your shop write down the installed version, how order states are handled and who fixes errors. If a payment shows in the gateway but your shop order hasn't updated, you need a clear rule for whether to dispatch and who repairs the missing update.
A custom host-to-host checkout means your server creates invoices and shows payment details under your own branding. The documentation requires website or domain moderation before you get payment credentials, and keeps payout credentials distinct.[20] Passing moderation is no sign that access is lawful and gives no guarantee of release for each later receipt.
Are subscriptions, testing and accounting covered?
We haven't found a full payment sandbox or an automatic recurring-debit product. The WooCommerce page lists subscriptions among goods merchants may sell, which says nothing about collecting renewals automatically.
Heleket's test-webhook tool sends a synthetic notification using an existing or test invoice and saves no database data.[19] It can show how notification checking works, but not money movement, compliance decisions or settlement. We haven't run it, and we don't suggest sending a real trial payment.
- 01
Keep order records
Save invoices, receipts, fees, conversion amounts and open customer cases.
- 02
Map payment states
Tell whoever builds the replacement what should happen for paid, expired, underpaid and repeated notifications.
- 03
Track renewals
Record subscription dates and customer authorisations, and don't assume the new provider offers recurring billing or can take existing ones over.
- 04
Match accounting amounts
Reconcile sales, merchant credits, payout debits and completed refunds line by line.
The payout notification reports your merchant debit, including commissions, and the crypto amount sent to the recipient as different figures, so record both in your accounts. A developer menu doesn't mean there's a working QuickBooks or Xero integration.
The processor selection guide helps you set requirements for an eligible replacement.
What support and user reviews can you rely on?
Contact channels show where help is offered, not how quickly a held payment gets resolved. Heleket advertises 24/7 website chat, email and Telegram, plus a dedicated manager. The contact page lists support and legal and compliance categories, and its privacy policy gives support@heleket.com.
We haven't measured replies or verified a resolution commitment. The privacy policy covers identity and corporate data, possible sharing, international transfers and retention under certain conditions, so you should know who would receive your documents and how your request would be handled.
Trustpilot showed 2.8 from 85 reviews on 14 October 2026, with 44% five-star and 53% one-star. Its image label reads 3 instead. The platform reports replies to 91% of negative reviews, typically within a week; that isn't a merchant support guarantee.[29]
Visible reports come from payers and merchants, including merchants in disputes. They raise held-payment, verification and refund-delay complaints alongside positive reports. We haven't verified individual allegations, and neither the average nor any single report gives a representative merchant failure rate.
How should you read Heleket's score and trade-offs?
The score compares what the documents say about different gateways, and it isn't clearance. The formula has no sanctions factor, so its preliminary position can't override the verdict, show that custody is safe or turn an unknown fee into zero.
Informational entry. This model is not a recommendation to open a new merchant account. Check current availability directly with the provider.
Reviews draw on dated documents and calculations. Scores reflect recorded inputs; account approval, full costs and service performance need separate checks. We haven't opened merchant accounts or made test payments. How we score
Listed modules earn capability points, but that's no proof your shop works with them. The methodology limits the starting-price input, and the licence and bank-payout gaps still count. Our ranking methodology explains what the factors measure and why missing information isn't the same as an omitted cost.
- Public documentation for invoices, payouts, refunds and payment states.
- The refund reference includes an optional amount.
- The current FAQ names seventeen assets.
- Tutorial headings for six CMS platforms and a WooCommerce listing.
- The docs describe a custom checkout and a notification tester.
- The UK designation, so we don't recommend new onboarding.
- We couldn't identify the contracting company or verify a licence.
- Only a headline price, with the full charges unverified.
- Hosted money can be inaccessible during checks, with no promised release date.
- No verified bank payout for merchants and no full payment sandbox.
- Broad country-connection exclusions, and no assurance your activity is approved.
- A WooCommerce compatibility warning and marketing that conflicts with policy; we haven't tested installed compatibility.
Which Heleket alternatives should you compare?
Compare providers that can approve your company, your activity and the way you want to be paid. These three illustrate different choices, and the order comes from our overall score.
CoinGate is worth a look in its supported merchant countries, which don't include the US. Standard processing is 1%, before a payment-quote risk margin it doesn't price, with weekly Standard settlement. Its merchant asset list includes USDC on Base and Solana but not USDT.[32] Read its country list and asset list first, then the CoinGate review for how you'd receive money.
BitPay takes US and Canadian merchant applications, subject to approval and limits, and has paused new EEA, UK and Australian onboarding.[36] Its first standard band costs more than a percentage-only offer, and its merchant terms require an unpriced non-refundable application fee. The BitPay review covers its wider costs and conditions.
BTCPay Server is software for a team ready to run its own checkout and wallet security. Its general FAQ describes receipts going straight to your wallet, with no software processing percentage. Hosting, maintenance, network transfers and optional conversion still need a budget, and none of that is a bank-settlement quote.
- 1
